I apologize for the big delay since the last update, and for not having many pictures. Life has been hectic, to say the least. The boys continue to grow by leaps and bounds and change daily. At their six month doctor's appointment, Skylar weighed 19lb 4oz and was 26 inches long. Camden weighed 15lb 8oz and was also 26 inches long.
We took the boys to the beach for the first time and it was an interesting experience. The water was pretty cold so neither one of them liked it much, but were less shocked by it with each subsequent dunk :-) They also didn't seem to care much for the wind. Neither one of them seemed bothered by the sound of the waves or the sand. Overall, I would call it a successful first beach experience!
In other news, Skylar loves to bounce and yell and is starting to reach for everything. Camden still loves to blow rasberries, and now likes to laugh and reach for everything, especially faces and hair. They couldn't be more different! They are both almost sitting on their own but sometimes are a little unsteady and topple over. They continue to smile at each other and reach out to touch or grab each other. They even fight over the same toy sometimes.
We are excited to announce that we have matched with an Au Pair from Brazil. Her name is Jessica and she will be arriving on June 16th. She will live with us and help take care of the boys for a year. We love her to death and can't wait for her to get here. It will certainly be an adventure!
I think that's it for now. I promise to be more consistent with the updates again once we get settled into our new house and new routine!
