This past month has been a whirlwind. Jessica arrived in the middle of June and has been doing a tremendous job with the boys. She loves them and they absolutely adore her. She is very attentive, interactive and caring. We couldn't ask for better childcare. She is also integrating herself into our family very well. It feels like we have known her for years.
Skylar and Camden continue to change each day. They both sit up all of the time, they like to stand but are not yet pulling themselves up and have starting to eat teething biscuits. We continue to introduce them to new foods each week and will be making the transition to a diet based on chunkier, solid foods soon. Skylar is starting to scoot a bit but both of them are still quite content to sit still.
They went to their first birthday party this past weekend. One of my friend's son turned one. It was great. There was a 10 month old girl there and two other boys that are 1.5 and 2 years old. Skylar and Camden handled the sensory overload quite well and didn't cry at all. They sat on the floor, played with balloons and interacted with the babies that came by to visit them. Overall, I would call it a success!
They continue to enjoy yelling, spitting and saying "ba-ba-ba-ba-ba", "da-da-da-da-da", and "aaaaaa" or oooooo. It's great to have a house full of baby sounds!
